Affiliated with the Cégep de Sorel-Tracy, the mission of the Centre de transfert technologique en écologie industrielle is to increase the performance of businesses and communities through research and development of innovative approaches and technologies in industrial ecology.

CTTÉI is a leader in the transition to the circular economy through its pragmatic, innovative and bold industrial ecology solutions in three sectors: the development of industrial residues through the search for innovative opportunities in profitability, the implementation of clean processes and the deployment of industrial symbioses. The centre has a laboratory for formulation of concretes, mortars and geopolymers and a laboratory specialized in supercritical fluids. A semi-industrial hydrothermal oxidation platform is under construction.
